Interactive roles handbook

Meetings are run as interactive soft-skills labs. Active roles are divided between Stage Presentations and Analytical Feedback teams.

Stage & Prepared Speeches

Toastmaster of the Day

Acts as director/host of the session. Develops outstanding project chairing and meeting coordination.

Meeting Speaker

Presents prepared project speeches. Develops robust content drafting, pacing, and visual presence.

Topicsmaster

Leads the impromptu table topics segment. Develops instant thinking and audience setup.

Round Robin Master

Conducts short warm-up rounds where everyone (including guests!) speaks on a quick prompt.

Evaluations & Analytical Reporting

General Evaluator

Evaluates meeting operations. Develops leadership, listening, and comprehensive coordination.

Speech Evaluator

Shares structured, motivational critiques to directly reinforce speaker development.

Ah-Counter

Notes crutch words and fillers (like 'ah', 'um', 'so') to build direct auditory mindfulness.

Timer

Monitors speaking times. Practices conciseness, pacing, and delivery within timelines.

Grammarian

Introduces vocabulary, word of the day, and reviews correct grammar usage.

Meeting Timings Segment

A bi-weekly meeting runs smoothly through these five logical milestones:

Segment 01~15 mins

Introductions & Setup

The Sergeant-at-Arms calls order, President welcomes guests, and TM of the Day explains agendas.

Segment 02~15 mins

Round Robin Warm-Up

An informal 20-second speaking prompt giving every member and guest a chance to speak.

Segment 03~45 mins

Prepared Speech Segment

Members deliver 5-7 minute planned speeches according to their custom Pathways educational projects.

Segment 04~20 mins

Table Topics® Impromptu

An energetic segment where volunteers (including guests!) present 1-2 minute speeches on surprise prompts.

Segment 05~35 mins

Evaluations & Reports

General Evaluator leads feedback teams to share developmental guidelines and timeline reports.
